What is Afrodesk?

Afrodesk is a micro job marketplace that allows Africans to work remotely and connect with people in need with professionals to get things done.

How does Afrodesk work?

Buyer orders a job on Afrodesk:

When the buyer successfully places an order, the money is sent through a payment gateway to the admin account. In time, the order status is changed from Pending to Active. The virtual money is updated to the Seller’s credit account, letting him know that he can start to work on that order. Each transaction will be logged in the system for admins to manage.

Seller withdraws:

When the Seller account reaches the pre-defined minimum payout, the Seller is able to send a withdrawal request to the Admin. The Admin reviews the request and decides to send the payment to that Seller manually and the payment is received within 5 working days. Notification will be shown on the Seller’s dashboard.

Is there an age limit to join Afrodesk?

Yes. You must be 13 yrs and above to join Afrodesk.

What are the payment ways available?

Afrodesk accepts Pesapal payments that supports Mobile Money, Visa/Master Cards and Pesapal e-wallet for withdrawals Bank Transfers, PayPal and Mobile Money Options are available.

How secure are the payments processes?

Afrodesk payment system is integrated with an order tracking system, ensuring the synchronization between user interactions and admin controls for any transactions. With an interactive dashboard, users can choose their preferred payment method, monitor their revenue or send a withdrawal request conveniently.

How are disputes managed?

When the Seller doesn’t complete an order on time or deliver the work with bad quality, the Buyer can send a dispute request to Admin. On the other hand, if the Seller believes he has done a good job but the Buyer doesn’t accept his work, the Seller can also send a dispute request to Admin.

Admin will be the one to decide the winner of each case and transfer the money to the winner’s credit account. Since the Seller can only withdraw money for the finished Afrodesk jobs, you have complete control in any dispute cases.

When do I receive payments after successfully completing a job?

After successful completion of the job the seller places a withdraw request to admin, admin reviews the request and if there’s no dispute Admin sends the payments to the seller within 5 working days.

What are the charges incurred?


Registration is absolutely free.

A total percentage of 10% will be charge on all successful orders and the breakdown of the fees are as follows

• Admin commission: 5%
• Payment gateways charges: 3.5%
• Service fees: 1.5%
